Who are the Monastic Fraternities of Jerusalem?

The monks and nuns of Jerusalem are men and women who dedicate their lives to God and live in community in major urban centres.

Their aim is to bring prayer to the city and to bring the city to their prayer, and thus to reveal, through their contemplative and fraternal life, the presence of God in the heart of the world, in accordance with the initial intuitions set out in the Jerusalem Book of Life.

The brothers and sisters of Jerusalem celebrate the liturgy (church services)  together and work together to bring life to the church of Saint-Gervais.

Helping us

The church of Saint-Gervais contributes to supporting the material life of the brothers and sisters by financing their mission. This financial support is made possible thanks to:

– cash donations made to the offertory boxes
– donations made to the French « Church Pence » (Denier de l’Eglise) on the terminals  near the candle holers and online
– cash donations made after mass

And what about becoming a volunteer or taking part in one of our « housework and cleaning day »?
